Frances Marian Williams, 91, passed away at 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Scipio Methodist Church. Rev. Lonnie Goen will officiate. Burial will be in the Scipio Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on May 24, 1931, in Indianapolis, Frances was the loving daughter of Francis and Bernice (Gundlack) Yates. She was united in marriage to Wanga "Bill" Williams on April 9, 1950, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2002.

After High School, Frances graduated from Arsenal Technical in 1949. She retired in 1997 after 15 years from AARP Pharmacy where she worked as a Pharmacist Assistant. She was a member of the Scipio Methodist Church.

Frances is survived by her sons, Bruce (Wanda) Williams of Indianapolis, Brad (Mary) Williams of Indianapolis; daughter in law, Terri Williams of North Vernon; one grandchild; 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Bernice Yates; husband, Wanga "Bill" Williams; daughter, Dana Roberts; sisters, Shirley Smasey, Betty Stott, and Mary Watkins.
