Mrs. Frances H. West

February 26, 1921 - April 29, 2014

Frances H. West, 93, of Seymour, formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April, 29, 2014, at Seymour Place.

Born February 26, 1921, in Lancaster, KY, Frances was the daughter of the late Green Franklin and Lillie Harden Harrison. She married Victor West on June 3, 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1983.

A homemaker, Mrs. West was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and crocheting.

Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Cook of Muncie and Linda Williams of North Vernon; two sons, James West of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Lowell West of Seymour; a sister, Mary Pate of Palmdale, CA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by two brothers, A.J. and Norman Harrison.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. A rosary service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
