Mr. Eugene Turner

August 27, 1934 - March 18, 2012

Eugene Turner, 77, of North Vernon passed away at 8:35 AM Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his residence.

Born August 27, 1934, in Middletown, OH, Eugene was the son of Alec and Parilee Griffith Turner. He married Joyce Mays on June 19, 1954 in Middletown, OH.

He worked in construction most of his career, and enjoyed gold prospecting, motorcycle racing, and formerly owned a motorcycle shop.

Mr. Turner is survived by two daughters, Brenda Habenicht an Paula Andrew of North Vernon; one son, Eldon Turner of Middletown, OH; grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Aaron Habenicht, Devan Whitaker, Dustin and Dylan Andrew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, Gerald Turner, and a sister, Geraldine Brown.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
