Mrs. Ethel E. Scott

Ethel Scott, 93, of North Vernon passed away at 4:48 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Jennings Health Care.

Born on May 21, 1916 in Cedar, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Claude A. and Alice E. Lund Bailiff. She later married George Scott Jr. He died on March 28, 1995.

She was a graduate of Vernon High School and was retired from the Jefferson Proving Grounds. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Ethel is survived by several nieces & nephews including Ron Bailiff of North Vernon, and Russell Bailiff of Sunman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Lawrence Bailiff.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery.
