Esther Marie Randall, 89, of North Vernon, passed away at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Silver Oak Health Campus in Columbus.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Terry Brammer will officiate. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Born on January 15, 1933, in Townville, PA, Esther was the loving daughter of Alva F. and Ruth Bell (Henry) Smith. She was united in marriage to Paul Wilfred Randall on July 8, 1950. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2017.
Esther graduated high school in 1950 in Meadville, PA. She retired in 1992 from working as a Laboratory Technician at Muscatatuck. She was a member of the North Vernon Eastern Star -Shrine Ladies, the past worthy Matron of #818, and Butlerville Order of Eastern Star in 1961. Esther was strong in her faith and loved the Lord, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Most of all she cherished her time spent with her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Carol Pennington of North Vernon, Jane (Michael) McLeod of North Vernon, and Dianne Gilpin of Fishers; son, David (Janet) Randall of North Vernon; grandchildren, Brandy (Oscar) Rodriguez, John (Sara) Pennington, Chauncey (Meghan) McLeod, Zachary (Nicole) Randall, Kyra (Kyle) Littrell, Devin (Roxanne Aluart) Gilpin, and Keaton Gilpin; great grandchildren, Lucas and Weston Randall, Oscar B. and Elena Rodriguez, Mylah and Brynley Littrell, Aidan Paul and Ellison Rose McLeod.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Ruth Bell Smith; husband, Paul Randall, sister, Evelyn Mulvehill; brothers, Junior and Clyde Smith; great grandsons, Owen and Matthew Randall.
Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the First Methodist Church.
