Elihue Couch

Elihue "Doc" Couch, 87, of North Vernon passed away Saturday morning, May 3, 2008 at his residence.

Born March 31, 1921 in Hazard, Kentucky, he was the son of Benjamin and Eliza Couch. He married Charlene Gross June 21, 1946. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2005. Mr. Couch was a WW 2 Army Veteran, retired from Cosco, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 2021. After retiring he worked and lived at Vernon Villa Mobile Home Park in North Vernon. He enjoyed playing music, fishing, and most of all, his grandchildren.

Mr. Couch is survived by his daughter, Rosie Graham of Columbus; one brother, Allen Couch of Deputy; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his son, Ezekiel Couch.

Funeral Information

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny White officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Burial and military graveside rites will be conducted at Vernon Cemetery.
