A special tribute to Ed,

On a cool October day
A good friend passed away!
Hi name was Ed Wallen, and I just want to say,
I have never met a man quite like him before.
He was known all over for his rods and reels,
He used to be quite the fisherman before he was taken ill.
Ed was like a cat that had nine lives!
He'd been gone many times before,
But always managed to come back for more.
I told folks that he was a walking miracle
And had cheated death on many a day
But I guess God decided today
He needed to take him away.
Memories of his will last forever,
Especially for those that cast a pole.
Made by Ed Wallen, a sometimes gruff but loving soul.
I know he's up in heaven now a pole in his hand,
Out of pain and worries in the Promised Land.
Ed, please say hi to my mother whom I miss so very much,
And know that our lives here have been forever touched.
By the memories we hold so dear to us,
Because Ed you were loved so very much!
May you walk with the angels.
May you soar with the eagles.
May you be held forever in God's tender embrace,
Until we meet again.
Your friend,
Amy Allen
