Mr. Edward Lee Maschino

May 15, 1952 - April 30, 2013

Edward Lee Maschino, 60, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:50 p.m. on April 30, 2013, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born May 15, 1952, in Seymour, IN, Eddie was the son of the late LeRoy and Thelma Johnson Maschino. He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1970. He married Kathie Vance on February 23, 1974. She survives.

Eddie had been employed by Dave O'Mara Contractor and had also farmed. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Four Corners. He was currently serving on Jennings County Council, where he had served since 1983. He had served as Spencer Township Trustee for four years, on Hayden Water Board, on the board of directors of Hayden Museum and on Spencer Township Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph Four Corners and Reddington Rear Wheelers.

In addition to his wife, Kathie, survivors include three daughters, Amanda (Jeff) Morrison and Sally (Eric) Woods of North Vernon, and Sara (Joe) Leuthold of Floyds Knobs; son Andy (Courtney) Maschino of North Vernon; eight brothers, Tom (Wanda), Bill (Kathy), Jim (Natalie), Larry, Dennis, Kenny (Victoria), Lester and Robert (Jenifer) Maschino, all of North Vernon; two sisters, Janet Maschino of North Vernon and Jane (Greg) Meyer of Columbus; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at Four Corners. Rev. Jonathan Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hayden Museum Building Fund or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
