Edward L. Hamilton, 73, of Commiskey, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at home.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on October 2, 1949, in Marion County, Indianapolis, Edward was the loving son of George and Olive (Boyd) Hamilton. He was united in marriage to Joyce Manning on November 15, 1979. She survives.

Edward worked in meat processing for Brewer's Livestock. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising animals, and riding horses. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Joyce Hamilton of Commiskey, survivors include sons, Gary (Martha) Hamilton of Roberta, GA., Mark Speer of Newberry, IN., and Scott (Shay) Speer of Seymour; daughters, Deborah (Scott) Ferguson of Conroe, TX., Terri Tormoehlen of Seymour, Victoria Adams of TX, and Tammy Knappenberger; grandchildren, Adeline Hamilton, Dakota Ferguson, Dalton Ferguson, Carly McGuire, Brianna Meador, Laurana Speer, and Liam Speer; several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Olive Hamilton; son, Scotty Hamilton; brothers, Bill Hamilton, Jim McNulty, and Bob McNulty; sisters, Betty Nolan, and Judy Field.
