Edward E. Donnell, 72, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:10 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Columbus Regional Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Amvets Rider Post 7 Inc. located at 715 Amvets Drive North Vernon, IN 47265. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on March 3, 1951, in Seymour, Edward was the loving son of Eugene and Helen (Deaton) Donnell. He was united in marriage to Carol Gottwalles on August 28, 1971. She survives.

Edward graduated Jennings County High School in 1969. He owned and operated the Commiskey Corner store for several years and had drove a semi. He likes NASCAR, hunting, fishing, and watching his kids and grandchildren participate in sports. Most of all, Edward enjoyed spending time surrounded by his loving family.

In addition to his wife, Carol Donnell of North Vernon, survivors include son, Taulby (Nancy Rosales) Donnell of North Vernon; daughter, Kelby Donnell of Sellersburg; grandchildren, Macy Brown, Bug Donnell, Sydney Corbin, Kaliegh Keys, and Tyler Keys; great grandchildren, Cannon Brown, and Easton Schaefer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Helen Donnell; sister, Beverly Donnell.
