Edith Mildred Tucker

Edith Mildred Tucker, 90 of North Vernon passed away at 12:30 AM on Friday, December 07, 2012 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.
Born September 10, 1922 in Burdine, KY, Edith was the daughter of the late Watson and Stella Helen Vanover Day. She was married to Benton Gibson and Lester Morgan Tucker who both preceded her in death. Her greatest pass time was bird watching.
Survivors include three daughters, Leslie Gabbard of North Vernon, Rebecca Lessley of Alma, Arkansas, and Gerri Taurence of Wyandotte, Michigan, a son, Benton Gibson of Michigan, many, many grand and great-grandchildren, three brothers, "Manny" Gilly and Bill Day of Georgia, and Tim Gilly, and two sisters, Judy Angel of Edinburgh and Pat Fields of Jeffersonville.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Teresa Tucker, Malinda Christian and Darlene Gibson;two sons, Lester Tucker and John Gibson; three brothers, Paul and Steve Gilly and Richard Day; three sisters, Malinda Lucille Gilbert, Betty Branam, and Grace Gonek.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service at noon on Monday, December 10, 2012 with Bro. James Carmichael officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
