Eddie W. "Dyke" Swindall Sr., 69, of North Vernon passed away at 4:15 PM Friday, July 28, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Born in Pound, VA, June 30, 1948, Eddie was the son of Thurman and Rosa Belle Jessie Swindall. He married Nancy Marksberry.

Eddie was a supervisor for Bernie Belcher's roofing company. He was a member of the North Vernon Moose Lodge, and the Eagles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with friends, family, and working on the farm.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Swindall of North Vernon; daughter, Rosa Marie Branum of North Vernon; sisters, Deanna Sullivan of North Vernon, Patricia Violet Ashman and Lillian Goldman of Butlerville; grandchildren; Tamika and Austin Branum, Eddie Swindall III, Kevin and Samantha Swindall; Several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Eddie Swindall Jr., and several brothers & sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to help with expenses.
