Mr. Eddie L. Smith

Eddie L. Smith, 68, of North Vernon passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at his residence.

Born March 15, 1947 in Jennings County, Eddie was the son of Ernest E. and Dorothy Pauline Stroup Smith.

He was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church. He was the security guard at John's Guns, and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by two sisters, Opal Hardesty of Commiskey, and Joy Bartlett of North Vernon; two brothers, Donnie Allman of Dupont, and Danny Smith of North Vernon; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Brenda Shaw.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. David Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
