Mr. Eddie Bower

April 18, 1952 - July 19, 2013

Eddie L. Bower, 61, of North Vernon, passed away on July 19, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Louisville.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2013, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Interment will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
Born April 18, 1952, in Scottsburg, Ed was the son of the late William Bower and Catherine Bower Herr.
Ed served in the United States Marines from 1968 until 1971. He had been employed in construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards with his friends.
Survivors include three brothers, Billy Joe Bower of Pueblo, CO, Jerry and Paul Bower, both of North Vernon; and a sister, Margaret Ann Taylor of Southport, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Chalmer Herr.
