Mr. Earl Fredrick Losey

September 30, 1919 - March 25, 2010

Earl Fredrick Losey, 90, of Commiskey passed away at 6:45 am on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at his home.

Born on September 30, 1919 in Butlerville, Fred was the son of the late Daniel and Ida Johnson Losey. He married Allene Lamb.

Mr. Losey was employed as a Construction Operating Engineer. He was in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 and had been a member of the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed horses, flowers, working in leather, cooking, gardening and living in the country.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Mary Jo) Losey of Mitchell; two daughters, Marsha Wood (Ron) of North Carolina and Freda (Jim) Carmer of Indianapolis; a sister Ruby (Ben) Spurlock of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Losey was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Allene and two brothers, Eli and Vernon Losey and a sister, Sarah Johnson.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Maynard officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be a the Vernon Cemetery with military honors.
