Mr. Douglas M. Darby

Douglas M. Darby, 61, formerly of Shelbyville, Indiana died at his home in Ormond Beach, Florida on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 4:27 a.m.

Born on February 19, 1948, Douglas was the son of the late Harold Joseph and Elizabeth Young Darby. He married Diana L. on February 1, 1970. She survives.

Mr. Darby was employed by KCL Corporation in Shelbyville, Indiana. He enjoyed fishing, reading, metal-detecting and playing chess on the computer.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Scott Douglas Darby of Shelbyville, Indiana, Todd Darby of Ormond Beach, Florida and a sister, Janet Wolfe of Grove City, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Beth Darby.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home. Rodger Chappelow will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday before the service. Burial will be at the Butlerville Cemetery
