Mrs. Dorothy Jean Robinson

August 12, 1941 - March 05, 2014

Dorothy Jean Robinson, 72, of North Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born August 12, 1941, in Blackey, KY, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Dixen and Ollie Mae Hall Fields. She married Lionel Robinson, Sr. He survives.

A homemaker, Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Church of Christ in North Vernon. She enjoyed going to yard sales, eating out, taking rides through parks and watching wildlife. She especially enjoyed spending time with church members and celebrating Christ.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by three sons, Tracy (Renee) Quillen of Scottsburg, Tranvis Quillen of MO and Lionel (Teresa) Robinson, Jr., of Seymour; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wesley Fields; and stepsister, Rodelma Bently.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. James Pedigo will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery.
