Doris J. Earl

Doris J. Earl, 77, of North Vernon, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on May 17, 2011, at Jennings Health Care Center.

Born September 25, 1933, in Rushville, IN, Doris was the daughter of Dorsey and Violet Trapp. She graduated from Letts High School. She married William R. Earl on September 17, 1955. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1997.

Doris worked with her husband for 22 years at Bill Earl Real Estate Company. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by one son, Scott Earl of Indianapolis; two daughters, Sherri Inman of Columbus and Sandra Gilham of North Vernon; two sisters, Faye Hensley and Donna Hill, both of Columbus; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Mary Hayes, and a brother Robert Dale Trapp.

Funeral Information

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 20, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service, with Rev. Kirby Rupp. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Vernon Cemetery.
