Mrs. Donnetta M. Lauderbaugh

Donnetta M. Lauderbaugh, 75, of North Vernon, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 9, 1938, in Trimble County, KY, Mrs. Lauderbaugh was the daughter of the late Odell and Helen Holder Welch. In 1956, she married Roger Lauderbaugh. He preceded her in death in 2005.

A homemaker, Donnetta enjoyed watching NASCAR and college basketball, country music, Gaither gospel music, watching her sons bowling team, and hanging out with her classmates.

Survivors include a son, Niles (Linda Pelfrey) Lauderbaugh of Seymour; a brother, Terry Welch of Florida; six grandchildren, Neil and Kinzer Lauderbaugh, Meagan and Chuck Copley, Whitney Shaw and Angela Pelfrey; and eight great grandchildren, Lane, Luke and Kaylob Lauderbaugh, Grace Copley, Ashton, Alex and Austin McIntosh, and John Shaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; and two brothers, Darrell and Larry Welch.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Rev. Anthony Sweeney will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison.
