Donald Ray Yeager, 70, of North Vernon, passed away at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones.

A private burial will be held at a later date. Cremation was chosen. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on March 13, 1953, in Seymour, Donald was the loving son of Raymond and Bonnie (Pickett) Yeager. He was united in marriage to Janet Faye Biddinger. She survives.

Donald retired after 25 years with the Muscatatuck State Development Center in the Maintenance Department. He enjoyed working on the farm tending to the cattle. Most of all, Donald loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Janet Yeager of North Vernon, survivors include father, Raymond "Spud" Yeager of North Vernon; daughters, Stephanie (Randy) Bushhorn of Deleware, IN, Crystal (Rick) Hornsby of New Marion, and Andrea (Josh) Pendley of Ramsey, NJ; son, Daniel (Christina) Yeager of North Vernon; grandchildren, Mary Lynn Yeager, Keri Bushhorn, Randi Veerkamp, Guy Yeager, Peyton Yeager, Drew Yeager, Jenna Akers, Nakiah Catron, Connor Johnson, Leah Johnson, Graham Pendley, Allie Pendley; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Janet (Robin) Day of Seymour, Teresa (Gary) Monday of North Vernon; brothers, Bill (Pat) Yeager of North Vernon, Roger (Vicki) Yeager of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Yeager; great granddaughter, Emberly Rain Johnson.
