Mr. Donald L. Henry

Donald L. Henry, 61, of North Vernon, Passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Schneck Medical Center.

Born March 7, 1947 in Jefferson County, IN, he was the son of Russell and Mildred Stout Henry , they both preceded him in death. He married Marie Thompson in 1991, she survives.

Mr. Henry retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. He also retired from Arvin Industries and was currently employed by Valeo Sylvania in Seymour. Mr. Henry was a member of the American Legion Riders and enjoyed hunting.

Mr. Henry is survived by his wife, Marie, six children; Kim Griffin,Dawn Barnes, Cory Henry and Megan Henry of North Vernon, Donnie Henry of Greensburg and Jason Henry of Commiskey, two step-children, Jerry Davis of New Orleans, LA, Shelly Eisenmenger of Brownstown, one sister, Donna Goins of Fishers, IN, sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Mildred Henry, and two step-sons, Larry Lee Davis Jr. and Terry "Red" Davis.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Chapel in Madison at 11 AM Monday, November 10, 2008. Burial will immediately follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4 to 8 pm at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.
