Mr. Donald R. Clark

March 14, 1917 - December 01, 2010

Donald R. "Bud" Clark, 93, of Columbus passed away at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Born in Seymour on March 14, 1917, Donald was the son of Raymond & Ruth Briner Clark. He married Jean Clark. She preceded him in death. He later married Geneva Clark on July 1, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1997.

Donald served in the U.S. Navy from October 13, 1943 until December 16, 1945 during WWII. He worked at Cummins and was a member of the Diesel Workers Union. He was a life member of the VFW. He was a member of the St. Peters Lutheran Church.

He is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Patricia Clark, Mary (Steven) Smith, Donna (Don) Bingham, Carol (George) Ramey, Debbie (Randy) Bales, Linda (Don) Ray and Janie (Rodney) Beal all of North Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, sisters, Helen Pollert and L. Lucille Leckermeyer, and brothers, Marvin E. and Wolfred D. "Bud" Clark and a niece and nephew Raymond Pollert and Catherine Pearson.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.
