Donald E. Broadus, 81, of North Vernon, passed away at 12:12 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Majestic Care of North Vernon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the funeral at St. Mary's Parish Center.

Born on February 13, 1941, in Indianapolis, Don was the loving son of William Broadus and Novia (Heck) Martin. He was united in marriage to Taryn Wernke in October 1981.

Don retired from Reliance Electric in 2006 after 44 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Don enjoyed most, spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Taryn Broadus of North Vernon, survivors include daughters, Tasha (Ron) Bowling, Tonya (Mark) Peacock, Jessica (Gabe) Lowman all of North Vernon, and Tracey Pearson of Butlerville; son, Devon (Chassie) Broadus of North Vernon; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Cindy) Broadus of FL.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, William Broadus and Novia Broadus Martin; one grandchild.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to St. Vincent DePaul or St. Mary's School.
