Mr. Donald L. Alexander

Donald L. Alexander, 47, of Lacey, WA passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born August 1, 1965 in Columbus, Donald was the son of Warren and Shirley O'Haver Alexander.

He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1984. He served twenty three years in The United States Army before retiring as a Sargent Major. He was currently employed as a civilian by the Department of the Army as Human Resources Chief. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, running, and was an avid Indianapolis Colts Fan.

Donald is survived by his parents, Warren Sr. and Shirley Alexander of North Vernon; three sons, Todd Alexander of Indianapolis, Zach Alexander of Butlerville and Anthony Alexander of Olympia, WA; one daughter, Erika Alexander of Olympia, WA; two brothers, Warren Alexander of North Vernon, and Andy Alexander of Huntingtown, MD; one sister, Susie Watson Burns of Montreat, NC; one granddaughter, Aubrey Alexander.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. The Rev. Marvin Sweet will officiate. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
