Don James Ogez, 53, of North Vernon, passed at 8:54 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at his residence.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service.

Born June 1, 1964, in Greensburg, Don was the son of Ernest and Joyce Centers Ogez.  He married Phyllis Morris on June 5, 2006.

Don enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He had previously worked at Swifty as a station manager for eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Nicole Ann Stephens of North Vernon; a son, Derrick Ackeret of Idaho; a sister, Teresa Rodebaugh of Elizabethtown; and one grandson, Jon Stephens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Joyce Ogez.
