Dolores M. Reitman, 85, of North Vernon passed away at 12:45 PM Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Jennings Health Care Center.
Born April 24, 1930, Dolores was the daughter of Edward and Mary Glatt Ley. She married Robert Reitman on February 26, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1994.
She was a homemaker, and a lifelong member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Red Hat Society, Jennings County Extension Club, Seton Club, and was a Foster Grandparent. She loved gardening, sewing, her chickens, and having family gatherings.
She is survived by sons, Ronald (Margi) Reitman of Westport, Anthony (Peggy) Reitman of Mitchell, Douglas (Ginger) Reitman of North Vernon, Thomas (Wendy) Reitman of North Vernon, and Jeffrey (Rita) Reitman of Fordsville, KY; daughters, Barbara (Mark) Vander Hart of Lowell, MI, Monica (Mike) Anderson of North Vernon, Denise (Tim) Woodard of Seymour, and Annette (David) Trejo of North Vernon; one brother, Robert Ley of Columbus; twenty-four grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Mike, Edward, and Joseph Ley; sisters, Helen Hill, Elizabeth Ley, Marie and Frances Mader, and Agnes Rancourt.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Anne's Catholic Church. Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery. A Rosary Service will be held at 1:30 PM Sunday at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will follow from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Anne's Cemetery Endowment, or the American Diabetes Association.
