Mr. Dennis "Pegleg" Fuel

April 16, 1944 - July 24, 2011

Dennis P. "Pegleg" Fuel, 67, of Commiskey, passed away at 11:55 p.m. on July 24, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.

Born April 16, 1944, in Columbus, IN, Pegleg was the Son of Paul and Helen Gates Miller Fuel. He married Kathy Davis on September 23, 2000. She survives.

Mr. Fuel was a member of Tea Creek Baptist Church and Second Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin where he enjoyed church activities. Pegleg was a member of ABATE of Indiana for 24 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing bingo and attending Promise Keepers.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Fuel is survived by two sons, Thomas Fuel of Frankfort, IN and William Fuel of Rutland, VT; two daughters, Jennifer Smith of Frankfort, IN and Kristina Small of Oklahoma; two step-children, Carla Capps of Anderson, IN and Tony Brown of The Rock, GA; a sister, Phyllis (Jerry) Rollins of Greensburg, IN; a brother, Jim (Rhonda) Fuel of Westport, IN; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nepews

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sandra Root, and a brother, Gary Fuel.

Funeral Information

A Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Tea Creek Baptist Church in Lovett with Rev. Irvin French officiating. A scattering of ashes motorcyle ride will follow after the service with a celebration of life party at his home following the ride.
