Mr. Dennis M. Carmichael Sr.

Dennis Michael Carmichael Sr., 64, North Vernon, passed on January 13, 2010 at 2:55 p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born June 13, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the parents of the late Turner and Evelyn Carmen Carmichael.

Dennis worked for DSI for over 20 years before retiring in 2006. He liked watching movies & watching sports. He also enjoyed playing cards & board games, crocheting, traveling and wood-working

He is survived by a son, Dennis Carmichael Jr. of North Vernon; two daughters, Spring Ann Reed of Arizona and Virginia Patterson of North Vernon; 10 Grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Atkins of Indianapolis and Steve Atkins of Mesa, AZ; two step-sisters Rochelle Smith of Flordia and Linda Reis of Las Vegas, NV; a step-brother, Steve Carmichael.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother infant Carmichael.

Funeral Information

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home, in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Bob Harden will be officiating. Burial will be at the Plesant Grove Cemetery.
