Mr. David Leroy Allee

David Leroy Allee, 65, of North Vernon passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born March 8, 1943 in Greensburg, he was the son of Luther Jerome and Mabel Inez Taylor Allee. He married Judith Specht on December 11, 1970. She survives.

Mr. Allee had been a member of the Zenas Baptist Church and had worked at Arvins Industries and for the B&O Railroad. He also previously owned and operated D&J Discount. He enjoyed people, wood working, and laying in his swing.

Mr Allee is survived by his wife, Judith Allee of North Vernon, two daughters, Denise (Mike) Hunger of Versailles, and Pam (Luigi) Tozzi of Ft. Collins, CO; one son, Shawn (Cindy) Allee of Indianapolis; sisters, Sharon Daugherty of Nebraska, Dorris Hillenberg of Zenas, and Joyse Hand of Columbus; grandchildren, Jonathan VanSant, Jacob Godfrey, Mario, Benny, Jessica Tozzi, and Brecken Allee.

Mr. Allee was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Allee, and one daughter, Danette Godfrey.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Sawyer & Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward Wooddell officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM till the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
