Daniel W. Johnson, 53, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:58 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Schneck Medical Center.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will be in the Otter Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till the start of the service on Monday, September 27, 2021.

Born on May 26, 1968, in Columbus, Daniel was the loving son of David "Wayne" and Nancy (Castetter) Johnson. He was united in marriage to Amanda Proctor on June 2, 2001. She survives.

Daniel worked at American Axel Manufacturing in North Vernon. He enjoyed dirt track racing and also enjoyed camping.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, David "Wayne" and Nancy Johnson.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
