IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Corydon (Roberts)
Evearitt
April 17, 1937 – January 1, 2026
Corydon Evearitt, 88, a beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Scipio, Indiana. Born on April 17, 1937, in Melbourne, Florida, Corydon lived a fulfilling life characterized by an unwavering spirit and a passion for reading and traveling.
Corydon dedicated a significant part of her professional life to serving as an Executive Secretary for the State of Kansas, where her organizational skills and commitment earned her respect and admiration from colleagues and peers alike. She was a proud mother to three sons-Edward, Joseph, and Jack Acton-who were her greatest joys and whom she supported wholeheartedly throughout their lives. Corydon's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Michael, Aaron and Chad Acton; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Travis, Gage, Hannah, Faith, Kayla, and Hazel Acton; and four great-great grandchildren who brought her immense happiness.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Tommie Acton, whose companionship enriched her life in countless ways. Corydon's nurturing spirit and compassionate nature will forever resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing her.
No services are planned. Arrangements were made in care of Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service.
In this time of reflection and remembrance, let us carry forward Corydon's love for knowledge and adventure, embracing life with the same enthusiasm she did. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Corydon was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Evearitt; her parents; and grandson, Brian Acton.
