Cory Daniel Wienhorst, 38, of Uniontown, pronounced dead on March 28, 2022 at 8:15 am in North Vernon, Indiana. He was born on August 9, 1983 in Seymour, Indiana as Cory Tankersley but was adopted at a year old by Billie Jean and the late Dennis Wienhorst of Uniontown.

Cory had been employed in construction in North Vernon. He enjoyed spending time with his former girlfriend Melissa, friends, and family. His hobbies included playing the guitar and singing, raising animals, trapping, telling jokes, and building and repairing projects. He was a generous, caring, loyal friend, beloved uncle, and loved whole heartedly.

In addition to his mother Billie Jean, Cory is survived by a grandmother, Mentoria Russell, a brother, Kenny (Jennifer) Wienhorst, a sister, Angela (Doug) Mayfield, five nephews, and two nieces, as well as several aunts, uncles, and great-nephews and great-nieces.

Cremation was chosen, Sawyer – Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial gathering will be planned at a later date.
