Clyde Hensley, 78, of Paris Crossing, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at his residence.
Born August 9, 1933, in Harlan County, KY, Clyde was the son of Roy and Nola Brummett Hensley. He married Ann Mullins in September 1954, in Lancaster, IN. She survives.
Mr. Hensley retired from Cummins. He had previously worked for 23 years at US Shoe Factory in Crothersville. He was a member of Coffee Creek Baptist Church, a past member of Jennings County School Board, a past president of Coffee Creek Community Center and a past member of the Jennings County Merit Board. He served on the OVO Board. He loved square dancing, and was an avid Atlanta Braves and Kentucky Wildcats fan.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hensley is survived by his son, Pascal (Susie) Hensley of Paris Crossing; daughter, Rhonda (Tony) Hamilton of North Vernon; three brothers, Ralph Hensley of FL, Carl and Earl Hensley, both of Paris Crossing; two grandchildren, Isaiah (Missy) Hensley and Basile Hamilton; two great grandchildren, Luke and Camron Hensley; and two step-great grandchildren, Thomas and Megan Schuler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Fish; and five brothers, Jerry, Frank, Billy, Otis and Roy Hensley.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Coffee Creek Baptist Church in Paris Crossing, with Rev. David Schill and Rev. Irmal Elliot officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service, and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be at Coffee Creek Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Coffee Creek Baptist Church or Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
