Clara L. Hummel, a cherished member of the community and a dedicated healthcare professional, passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on January 8, 1935, in North Vernon, Indiana, Clara spent her life serving others, marked by a profound commitment to nursing and community service.

Clara enjoyed a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, where she nurtured countless patients with compassion and care. She was a proud charter member of the Hummel MI Club, where she actively engaged with fellow members and deeply enjoyed the pursuit of genealogy, reflecting her passion for connecting with her roots and history.

As a devout member of the Incarnation Parish in Centerville, Ohio, Clara exemplified the values of faith and community, contributing her time and talents to enrich the lives of those around her.

She is survived by several nieces & nephews who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and dedication.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon, IN on March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Friends, family, and community members are invited to gather to celebrate Clara's remarkable life and the many contributions she made to those around her. Following the mass family and friends will gather in St. Mary's Parish Center for food and fellowship.

At 8:30 AM on March 7, 2026, a memorial mass will be conducted in Clara's memory at Incarnation Parish in Centerville, OH. As we honor Clara L. Hummel, let us remember her unwavering spirit and the love she shared during her lifetime.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and, Bertha Hill Hummel; sisters; Dorothy Filson, Marie Fry, and Cecelia Hummel; brother, Robert Hummel.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the donor's local Hospice organization in Clara's memory.
