Cindy L. Waltermire, 63, of Butlerville, passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Columbus Regional Hospital.

There will be a graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Vernon Cemetery. Rev. Dale Boyd will officiate. Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service are entrusted with the arrangements.

Born on May 2, 1959, in Greensburg, Cindy was the loving daughter of Frank E. and Martha E. (Dwenger) Harris Sr. She was united in marriage to Ivan P. Waltermire on August 19, 1988. He survives.

Cindy had worked in the dietary at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center for over 30 years and for the Department of Corrections for 7 years. She was raised in the Catholic faith. She liked crocheting, working puzzle books, and baking cakes. Most of all, Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs.

In addition to her husband, Ivan Waltermire of Butlerville, she is survived by daughters, Amanda Bower of North Vernon, Deanna (Danny) Simmons of Seymour, and Amy Bolton of Tacoma, WA; brothers, Kenneth (Barb) Harris of Butlerville, Gregory (Peggy) Harris of North Vernon, Richard (Judy) Harris of North Carolina, and Lawrence Harris of Columbus; grandchildren, T.J. , Luke, Avery, and Emory Simmons, Dakotah Goodwin, Lyndsay Hartwell, Nathan, and Xavier Bolton.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Martha Harris; son, Thomas Waltermire; brother, Frank Harris Jr., sister, Juanita Harris.
