Charleen E. Struben

Charleen E. Struben, 75, of Westport passed away at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Born September 2, 1933 in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alberta J. Clark Lowe. She later married Rick Struben on March 6, 1976. He survives.

Mrs. Struben had been a foster parent for many years. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, crocheting, camping, baking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Donna McAdams of Batesville, Kimberly Gray of Scipio, and Crystal Struben - Hall of Indianapolis, five sons, Billy Fassold of Osgood, Gary Fassold of Texas, Danny Fassold and Robert Struben of Scipio, and Richard L. Struben of Hamburg, Germany, 19 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Charleen was preceded in death by her parents, a son Larry Fassold, and two brothers, Donald and Eugene Lowe.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday and from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Otter Creek Cemetery.
