Mr. Carroll Thomas Hall

January 22, 1938 - December 29, 2012

Carroll Thomas "Tom" Hall, 74, of North Vernon, passed away on December 29, 2012, at Jennings Healthcare Center in North Vernon.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev. Larry McIntosh will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial and military graveside rites will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.

Born January 22, 1938, in Rushville, Tom was the son of the late Omer and Juanita Jones Hall. In 1957, he married Inez Mae Creswell. She survives.

Tom served in the United States Navy from 1955 until 1963. He had previously been employed by Jay C Foods in the stock room and in maintenance. He was a member of the VFW, AmVets, Eagles, Moose Lodge and American Legion. He served as trustee at AmVets. He enjoyed golf and bowling.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hall is survived by one daughter, Carol Renee Owens of Lovett; three sons, William Scott Hall of St. James, MO, Thomas Allen Hall of Rushville and Michael Wayne Hall of Jacksonville, AR; grandchildren, Thomas Allen Hall, Angel Renee Weber, Christina McTague, Allison Grace Rodgers, Sarah Hall, Matthew Hall, Jacob Owens and Jeremy Owens; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
