It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carole J. Ringer, 77, of North Vernon. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully left us on July 15, 2025. Born on August 20, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Carole spent her life in devotion to her family and her community, making a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Carole was a proud resident of North Vernon where she exemplified kindness, compassion, and dedication in every aspect of her life. She enjoyed her role as a secretary for the director of special education at Jennings County Schools, where she served diligently for thirty-five years. A long-time member of the First United Methodist Church, Carole found joy in sharing her faith and community with others. She cherished her friendships, often gathering with them to play cards, a pastime that brought laughter and warmth into her life. An avid crafter and gardener, she poured her creativity into her hobbies and loved to travel, always seeking new experiences.

Carole's heart was especially tender for those in need. She took it upon herself to make chemotherapy caps for cancer patients, demonstrating the compassion that defined her character. Family was Carole's greatest treasure; she was a devoted wife to her husband Robert Ringer, and a nurturing mother to her son Jeff (Angie) Ringer and daughter Nia (Billy) Howell. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Taryn Arnold, Ally Ringer, and Jacob Ringer. Carole is also survived by her loving sister, Shirley (Bill) Miller, whose support and camaraderie brought her joy throughout her life. A private celebration of Carole's life will be held at a later date. The family requests that donations be made in Carole's memory to the First United Methodist Church. Though Carole has departed from this world, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and inspired. We will hold her memory close, as we celebrate a life beautifully lived.
