Carla Sue Collinsworth Adams

June 11, 1939 - July 12, 2009

Carla Sue Collinsworth Adams, 70, of North Vernon, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 7:08 a.m. at the Columbus Health and Rehab.

Born on June 11, 1939, in Salyersville, KY., she was the daughter of the late Lacy and Lizzy Collinsworth. She later married Jesse Lee Adams on December 17, 1957. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1999.

Mrs. Adams was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, singing, gardening, canning and her family.

She is survived by her four daughters, Charlette (Clifford) King, Cassie Adams, Vera (Michael) Wilcox, and Barbara Collett (Dewayne Scarberry) all of North Vernon, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and special friend, Maurice Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughters, Georganna and Carrolyn Adams, twin grandchildren, Dustin and Sarah King, and a sister, Helen Lemasters.

Funeral Information

Funeral service will be at the Magoffin County Funeral Home in Saylerville, KY., at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009. Calling will be on Thursday at 10:00 a.m until the time of the funeral. Burial will be at the Cain Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Sawyer~Pickett Funeral Home.
