Mr. Carl D. Smith

February 24, 1954 - June 30, 2014

Carl D. Smith, 60, of Columbus passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY.

Born February 24, 1954 in Knox, Carl was the son of Ollie and Erma Jean Coldwell Smith.

He served in the United States Marine Corp, and worked in the roofing and remodeling business.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to old country music.
Carl is survived by sons, Jerad Smith of Florence, KY, and Rusty Smith of Corinth, KY; daughters, Yolanda Eddelman, and Amanda Hupp of Columbus, Cara Smith of North Vernon, and Nicole Smith of Williamstown, KY; brothers, Jim Smith of North Vernon, and Travis Smith of Columbus; sixteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Pamela Carol McKee, brothers, Lonnie Smith, and Arnold "Buddy" Smith.

Funeral Information

A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
