Burk Bosse, 73, of Columbus passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, due to health complications.

Burk was born October 28, 1950, in Hildesheim Germany to Karl and Martha Bosse. After moving to the United States, Burk completed high school and joined the United States Air Force. While serving, Burk married Gladys Pogue and started their family moving from Italy to Alaska, Oklahoma and Illinois. Burk enjoyed being involved with his church, being a playwright/director and his musical talents.

Burk was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother Bernhard Bosse and sister in-law Ursula.

Burk is survived by four daughters: Patricia Caraway, Lona (Ernie) Ness, Marisha (Mike) Wilson and Marti (Chris) Hosey and nine grandchildren: Candy, Lita, Michael, Johnelle, Bianca, Cheryl Anne, Wesley, Alexia and Austin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 21, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church (1306 27th St, Columbus, IN). Rev. Chris Wadleton will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in North Vernon.

Memorial contributions may be made in Burk's memory to Save the Children through the funeral home.
