Bruce L. Thompson

Bruce L. Thompson, 54, of Scipio passed away at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at his residence.

Born August 12, 1956 in Seymour, Bruce was the son of Donald and Catherine Hazard Thompson.

Mr. Thompson worked in sales at Goecker Building Supply in North Vernon. He attended Scipio Presbyterian Church and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, and animals.

He is survived by a companion, Linda Hacker; his mother, Catherine Thompson of Scipio; three sons, Travis Thompson of New Lenox, IL, John Thompson of Bloomington, and Trent Thompson of Scipio; one brother, Dale Thompson of North Vernon; three sisters Becky Thompson of Columbus, Denise Keith of Scipio, and Myra Fischvogt of Scipio; grandchildren, Allison Thompson, and Kaylee Palmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Thompson.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at Sawyer - Pickett Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Coggin officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
