Bonnie Jo Taggart Bowser, 74, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:39 a.m. on February 1, 2023, at home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Jimmy Clemmer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service, at the funeral home.

Born on December 28, 1948, in Richmond, IN, Bonnie was the loving daughter of Roy and Beulah (Reeves) Motsinger. She was united in marriage to Michael Bowser on June 30, 2000. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2019.

Bonnie had worked for several years at the Jennings County High School and coached cheerleading before going to work at Cummins as an Administrative Assistant, where she retired. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Bonnie enjoyed camping and sewing. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeff (Beth) Taggart of Westfield, and Jay Taggart of North Vernon; daughters, Karen Taggart Johnson of North Vernon, and Lisa Myers of Columbus; stepson, Shawne Gulledge of Columbus; sister, Teresa Hartung of Harrison, OH; grandchildren, Lilly, Margaret, and Tommy Taggart, Lance (Taylor) Gourley, Audrey Myers, Xavier Taggart, and Peyton Gulledge; great grandchildren, Cash, and Kinser Gourley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beulah Motsinger; and husband, Michael Bowser.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
