Bonnie Jean Yeager, 88, of North Vernon passed away at 4:20 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev's Dale Boyd and Connie Barr will officiate. Interment will be in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born in Jennings County on October 7, 1935, Bonnie was the daughter of Charles Curtis and Leah G. Boyd Pickett. She married Raymond "Spud" Yeager on July 14, 1951. He survives.

Bonnie was a homemaker. She volunteered at Jennings Villa for a few years and was a fifty plus year member of the Jennings County Extension Club. She enjoyed fishing, painting, poetry, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond "Spud" Yeager of North Vernon; sons, Donald (Faye) Yeager of North Vernon, Roger (Vickie) Yeager of North Vernon, and William (Pat) Yeager of North Vernon; daughters, Janet (Robbin) Day of North Vernon, and Teresa (Gary) Monday of North Vernon; sister, Beverly Jo Bryant of North Vernon; sisters-in-law, Sharon Trilling of North Vernon, and Beulah Yeager of North Vernon; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Curtis D. "Bub" Pickett; sister, Arlene Frances Furst; granddaughter, Alayna Tucker; and great-granddaughter, Emberly Rain Johnson.
