Bonnie Ramey-Low, 67 of North Vernon, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 2, 2010 after being involved in an automobile accident on Highway 7 in Jefferson County.
Born on July 14, 1942 in Indianapolis, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Estol and Martha VanCleave Beach. She married Virgil "Pete" Ramey on November 12, 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1997. Bonnie later married Walter Low on January 1, 1998. She was a graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing in 1993 and worked for Outreach Services of Indiana through the Columbus organization as a Certified Development Disability Nurse.
Mrs. Low enjoyed reading and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Low of North Vernon; two sons, Christopher Ramey of Memphis, TN and Stephen Scott Ramey of Scipio; a daughter, Rebecca R. Ramey of Kansas City, Kansas; two step-children, Steven Low of Columbus and Tom Low of North Vernon; seven grandchildren, Cody, Calli, Taylor, and Alexander Ramey, Adele Young, Jake Summerfield, and Logan Goff; one great-grandchild, Owen Ramey; five step-grandchildren, Trent, Grant, Chastity, Cody, and Will Low; and four step-great-grandchildren, Gavin, Hayden, and Ryder Low and Athen Schoffstoll.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Virgil "Pete" Ramey.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 8th, 2010 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in North Vernon with Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic Church, the American Heart Association or the donor's choice.
