Bonita "Boni" J. Fewell, 74, originally of North Vernon, passed away on May 19, 2026 at the Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House in Summerfield, Florida.

A celebration of life will be conducted from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon.

Born April 26, 1952, Boni was the daughter of the late Wallace and Marybelle Hines. She married Lee "Scott" Fewell on October 13, 1970.

Boni was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outside in her flower garden. She was known for designing and caring for many beautiful flower beds at her home in North Vernon and later at her home in Florida. She enjoyed her retirement years in the warm sun of Florida among many friends. She is described by her friends as being a tenacious person with a strong will to persevere and overcome any obstacles. She was known for her great sense of humor and unique laugh. Her sons and grandchildren will remember her for her fierce love for them and being there when most needed.

Boni is survived by her siblings Rebecca Umphrey, Wesley Hines, Laura Johnson, and Scott Hines; her three sons, Jon (Lindsey Stewart) Fewell, Robert Fewell, and Chad (Bethany) Fewell; one daughter Sarah Fewell; and six grandchildren, Jacob Dunn, Sylas Schafer, Samuel, Nathan, and Nicholas Fewell; and Levicy Fewell.

Boni was preceded in death by her husband, L. Scott Fewell.
