Billie Sue Ogden, 82 of North Vernon passed away at 11:45 pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Jennings Healthcare Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Services in North Vernon with Rev. Colleen Malone officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.

Born on June 29, 1934 in Russell Springs, KY, Billie was the daughter of the late John and Alma Daffron Holder. She had been employed for 31 years as a cook at the former Jennings Community Hospital.

Billie had enjoyed playing bingo and cards, especially euchre. She dearly loved her family and her three cats.

Survivors include a son, Steve (Fran) Ogden of North Vernon, two daughters, Debbie (Doug) Mays and Donna (David) Ochab both of North Vernon, two sisters, Blanche Foley of Lexington, KY and Barbara Wooldridge of Jamestown, KY, a brother, Terry Holder of Lenoir City, TN, four grandchildren, Michelle Grissom, John Ochab, Sydney McIntyre and Garrett Ogden, and five great-grandchildren, Erin and Raegan Grissom, Ayden Poole, Owen and Reed McIntyre.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Mercy Rescue or the Wayside Inn.
