Betty Bryant Renn, 87, of Bloomington, formerly of North Vernon, passed from this life on Thursday, February 26, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends in Bloomington, Indiana.
Born December 31, 1927, in Letcher County, KY, Betty was the daughter of Lloyd and Luetty Day. She married the first love of her life, Roscoe E. Bryant. Together they had four children before his death in 1971. Twenty years later, she met the second love of her life, Atheara J. Renn. They shared 16 beautiful years together before his death in 2008.
A homemaker, Betty was a member of Nebraska Church of God. She enjoyed family, her faith and her friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara (Joseph) Howell of Indianapolis, Brenda (Ed) Dvorak Bowlen of Bloomington, and Mary Broyles of Gravel Switch, KY; four sons, Dannie (Sherri) Bryant of Anderson, SC, Lloyd (Beth) Bryant of Indianapolis, James (Tine) Bryant of Hope, and Ed "Shot" (Beverly) Bryant of North Vernon; six sisters, Rachel Wright of Lexington, KY, Hettie Thompson of Florence, KY, Minnie Browning of Louisville, KY, Margaret Sams, Orene Correll and Mary Ann Yantz, all of Somerset, KY; one brother, Joe Day; 20 grandchildren and several great, great great and great great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roscoe Bryant; husband, Atheara Renn; two sisters, Magel Guinn and Nancy Caudill; and two brothers, Burnett Day and Estil Day.
Funeral Information
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.
