Mrs. Betty L. Geisler

January 12, 1929 - August 13, 2013

Betty Lou Geisler, 84, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Our Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Born January 12, 1929, in Cincinnati, OH, Betty was the daughter of the late Oliver and Hilda Bommer Wenert. She attended Ross High School in Ohio, and graduated from Hughes High School in Cincinnati, OH. She married Frederick Geisler on February 22, 1947. He passed away also on August 13, 2013.

Betty had been a homemaker, and also had been employed as a secretary before and after raising her family. She was a member of IOK FourWheelers, and she enjoyed sewing and refinishing antiques.

Survivors include a son, Stanley (Debby) Geisler of Hamilton, OH; a daughter, Debbie (Donald) Mullins of Paris Crossing; two granddaughters, Amber Geisler and Heather (Joshua) Sharp; grandson, James (Tonya) Geisler; three great granddaughters, Brinna, Clara and Ava Sharp; and one great grandson, Elias Sharp.

Funeral Information

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. Interment will be at a later date at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made through the funeral home to the donor's choice of charity.
