Beth Lori Ezzo, 48, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, left us on January 29, 2010, to go home to her heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her father, Marion Walter Stern.
She is survived by her caring husband, Bret, and her most prized possessions, her children Kaylee and Gabe Ezzo. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Dorothy Stern and loving sister, Anita Stern Gauger and her husband, Raymond Gauger. Lori also leaves behind an adoring fan club that included her niece, Mandy Gauger, nephew Paul Gauger and his wife Julie, and great-nieces Marina Sigmund and Emily and Madeline Gauger and special great-nephew and friend, Mitchell Sigmund, and several Ezzo family nieces, nephews and family members. She was cherished and cared for by many wonderful friends - especially "the girls"- who were so kind, thoughtful and supportive to her and her family.
Lori greatly loved children and animals. She never met a child or animal that didn't love her in return. She was a loving mother and friend to many. Of all the various jobs she held in her lifetime, her favorite was her position as swim instructor/lifeguard at the Jennings County Middle School. Despite her fierce and brave battle, Lori remained a sweet soul to the end surrounded by family and friends.
Lori was born in Columbus on April 26, 1961. She graduated from Jennings County High School. She had worked as an aerobics teacher and worked at the North Vernon City and Jennings County Middle School swimming pools.
